Two Christian Poems – Pleasure And Pain

BBYCGN Writing

Two Christian poems: One is about the pleasure of singing out in praise of God’s Love and the second poem is regarding choices which result in eternal pleasure or pain.

I hope my Christian poetry provides greater comprehension of the consuming bliss- and soothing security- that comes from an active trust in Jesus Christ!

Singing In Praise Of God’s Love

There is no pressure,

only harmonious pleasure-

that can find no measure-

to sing of his love forever!

Though my voice falls in tremor,

becomes quiet from whatever,

or gets hushed by whomever,

my heart’s song shall never surrender

to the skeptic’s oppressive fetter!

He answered, “I tell you, if these were silent, the very stones would cry out.”

Luke 19:40

Choose Jesus

Warfare between spirit and flesh

brews within;

one pursues God;

the other is a self-saboteur,

hungry for sin.

Let us choose Jesus’

trustworthy way

lest into the world’s glittery illusions

we scatter and stray.

For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want.

Galatians 5:17
